Tell us a bit about yourself, and your role.
I’m the Executive Assistant, Office Manager and Marketing Coordinator for DMA Partners. I provide high-level executive support to the Managing Director/Owner. I also manage the running of the office and work with our Marketing Manager on all our marketing collateral and social media.
What can tell us about returning to work and the CBD (in the post-COVID restriction era)?
All our staff have returned to the office full-time now and have for the last month or so. I really enjoyed working from home and saw lots of benefits in doing this on a part-time basis moving forward. On the other side though, I could see how much the city was struggling during that time with most cafes & small businesses shut down. It was very quiet and felt very depressing at the beginning when we came back. It is good to see the city thriving again now!
What is the best career advice you have received?
I had a boss tell me once that just because I was in a support role, it didn’t make my job any less important than a senior manager’s and I should always value my contribution.
