Suzie Majer

26 years in the Brisbane recruitment market and I still love every minute of it! I like to think I have an enviable network in the Brisbane market which helps the team and I attract the best and most unique talent.

I’m extremely proud of Majer’s wonderful reputation for delivering exceptional recruitment solutions to Queensland’s leading companies. We also partner with our clients in Sydney and Melbourne. I am so fortunate to work alongside a highly experienced, passionate, driven and down to earth team. We have lots of fun in the office – no one day is ever the same!

I thrive on finding new and exciting ways of doing business. It is important to my team and I that our candidates and clients alike feel very relaxed and comfortable with the way we work and we take exceptional care with each recruitment assignment.

When I’m not at work, my son Henry and I are doing PT or laps of the Valley Pool! Oh and Arthur always loves a good walk.

I am part of the Sapphire Committee which is a new era of Philanthropy benefitting future generations supporting the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

My journey in recruitment started in 2014 – I have always had a passion for customer service and I really enjoy building solid relationships with both clients and candidates.

The satisfaction of placing a candidate in their dream role or finding a client that gem that they need is what made me fall in love with recruitment! I enjoy the pace and the variety that recruitment offers – no two days are ever the same!

When I am not working you can find me on the dance floor – Ballroom, Latin and Line Dancing!

I was lucky enough to land in recruitment in 2013. I had finished my law degree and returned from a year of travelling to join a grad program. Since that time I have grown a career over 11 years recruiting in both England and Australia. I have worked on all levels of recruitment from executive leadership to short term placements.

I love assisting a candidate in finding their dream job or helping a client find that perfect person. Being a part of such an important aspect of someone’s life is a real privilege and something that I find really rewarding. It truly matters to me that my clients and candidates have an enjoyable journey that is as stress-free as possible.

When I am not at work you will either find me going for walks with our little boy Leo and our miniature schnauzer Roo. I love being outdoors so will often spend the weekend in my active gear walking our little puppy or finding some good spots for yoga.

Catherine Lacey

Finance Talent

I have worked as an accountant for over 20 years in both public practice and commerce. I have a Bachelor of Business Degree in Accounting and was admitted as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. I’ve been lucky enough to work at Majer with Suzie for over 9 years.

In my part time role at Majer, I look after the company’s financial management and my goal is to keep the company’s day-to-day business ticking over with minimum disruption. I am a keen advocate of having a streamlined business operation for the team to work at their best.

My three children, husband and our beagle keep me very busy when I am not at work!

Arthur Majer

‘Talent’ed Dog

I’m a standard long-haired dachshund, born on a farm in Tasmania. My career highlight has been my move to Brisbane to live with Suzie and Henry.

I spend five days a week at Majer HQ and I take my job very seriously. The most important aspect of my role at Majer is to play with the team when I can sense they’re feeling stressed or things are getting hectic around the office.

It’s my favourite part of the job (along with walks around James Street where I get lots of attention).

Majer boasts a team of dedicated, experienced, down-to-earth staff who bring enthusiasm, creativity and the best service to both our clients and candidates across Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Sydney & Melbourne.
