The Majer Team’s favourite Brisbane foodie spots

Like in any work environment, an important topic of conversation stems from what each team member will be eating for lunch. For some, deciding their lunch is a make-or-break decision. It will determine how the last five hours of the day will play out. All jokes aside, if you’re looking for some food inspo, the Majer Team have shared some of their favourite foodie spots below.

Suzie Majer

You’ll often find our Talent Director, Suzie, having a mosey down James St to secure a midday treat. Suzie has been working near James St in Fortitude Valley for 15 years, so suffice it to say, she knows some of the best spots in the heart of Brisbane. If Suzie is not at HARVEY’S, Jocelyn’s Provisions is always on her list. Jocelyn’s has established a nationwide reputation for its cakes, bread, pastries, and provisions. From savoury to sweet, their divine items will have you drooling. A little early for lunch? Suzie can’t go past their cheese straws. In her words, “they’re essential for your cheese platters”.

Hillary Manuva

If you’re opting for something a little bit more filling, Hillary, our Talent Administrator and Marketing Coordinator can’t go past the James St Market. The James St Market offers a unique urban food retail experience. One of Hillary’s faves? Their in-house bakery, and notably, their take on an Australian delicacy; a delicious steak, bacon, and cheese pie.

Steph Cullen

Where will you always find our Talent Advisor, Steph? Only one of the most iconic spots on James St, of course… ‘Agnes Bakery’. If you’re a Brissy local, you’ll know what we mean by ‘patisserie heaven’. The bakery is inspired by the intuitive ancient processes that come from cooking with fire. If you’re not quite vibing a baked good, Steph often leaves with one of their delicious salads. Good luck ever leaving this bakery empty-handed!

We hope the Majer team has inspired you to explore some of Brisbane’s best foodie spots. To put some faces to the names; check out our reel on our Instagram!
